When you are looking at choosing what lights to install in the home you may well have seen a set of excellent LED lights. These may well be pot lights or possible ones that fit directly into the ceiling. These bright lights are also very easy on the power they require. They don’t compromise on the amount of illumination that they produce and they can even be directed onto certain spots to highlight parts of the room. For the most part they sit happily in the ceiling without intruding on the room like standard hanging bulbs do.
There is only one issue with the use of LED ceiling lights. This is when they are placed in the ceiling they do allow for draughts to escape up through the ceiling and it also allows for the cold air in the cavities to get into the room as well. This starts to reduce the heat in the room and means that the heating needs to go up which is not ideal. It also cuts out all the energy benefits that the LED lights are providing you with.
However you can still have the LED lights. All you need to have are a set of Downlight Covers. These Downlight Covers fit over the LED lights as they are installed. They do not allow the cold air in the cavity to get down and it traps the cold air as it comes up. The heat from the LED lights warms the air which circulates back into the room.
